Daniella Spitelli-Sarnecky was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware and attended the University of Delaware, where she graduated in 2011 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. Ms. Spitelli-Sarnecky worked as a juvenile probation officer and later, as an adult probation officer for the State of Delaware. Ms. Spitelli-Sarnecky attended law school at Widener University Delaware Law School and simultaneously worked as a law clerk for the Delaware Office of the Attorney General, as a grant monitor for the Delaware Criminal Justice Council, and as a legal intern for the Delaware Civil Law Clinic. Ms. Spitelli-Sarnecky graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree cum laud in 2018 and was admitted to the Delaware Bar. Ms. Spitelli-Sarnecky was honored at graduation with Pro Bono Distinction for her commitment to pro bono legal services and a Certificate of Achievement for her performance in administrative law. Ms. Spitelli-Sarnecky also received the award of “Best Opening Statement” for her performance in the American Association for Justice’s Trial Competition.
After graduation, Ms. Spitelli-Sarnecky served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Carl C. Danberg and the Honorable Robert H. Surles of the Delaware Court of Common Pleas and was employed as an associate in professional liability defense. Ms. Spitelli-Sarnecky’s practice includes civil litigation defense in the areas of personal injury, premises liability, construction litigation, and insurance disputes.
In addition, Ms. Spitelli-Sarnecky is a member of the Delaware Bar Association, the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Court and serves as a pro bono attorney for children through the Delaware Office of the Child Advocate.
